Terra Classic developer Alex Forshaw gave updates on the multisig wallet, which holds nearly $4 million in off-chain assets, in a medium blog post shared on Twitter yesterday. As the developer wrote on the blog, Forshaw and a few other community members, who welcomed the opportunity to become wallet signers and manage funds on behalf of the community, were opted out for several legal reasons. The developer now recommends that the community convert the assets to Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) and send them to the incineration address. As a legal disclaimer, Forshaw encourages those with whom the community deals with responsibility to be traceable and well-known non-US citizens. To this end, Forshaw recommends printing $2 million worth of LUNC and sending it to an on-chain multi-signature address for payment by professional developers. The overarching plan burns $4 million of Terra and then prints $2 million of LUNC from it. Thus, it effectively burns $2 million worth of LUNC while providing the community with $2 million worth of LUNC for development. A few users turned the idea off when they saw the word mint. This is not surprising as the majority of the community was largely united in reducing the supply of LUNC in May's Terra crash due to excessive LUNC pressure to stabilize TerraClassicUSD (USTC) and reclaim their lost depreciation wealth. As a result, LUNC has plummeted from highs above $100 to pennies in just a few days.
